The Cautious Optimist

Rosheen is a South Asian woman who was trying her hand at posing for the first time. I tried to capture her hesitant smile and Indian features.
In this portrait I tried my hand at an angled perspective. It was really hard to draw in the other side of her face just the right amount so it wouldn't look exaggerated. Drawing the left cheek and eye required five attempts (each time I got the proportions wrong, I had to erase that side of her face and redraw it). The partial eye was also particularly difficult -- making it look like her iris was in the correct place in such a small area proved especially complicated.
