I started drawing seriously in the summer after sophomore year. While most of my focus has been on portraits, thanks to Mr. John Peck's Portrait drawing class, I extended my practice through a drawing and painting class in high school, as well as through drawing for children at the Palo Alto Children's Library.

My favorite inspirations are Rembrandt and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. At a recent trip to Rome, I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I looked at Bernini's Apollo and Daphne at the Villa Borghese.
