Aquile

My drawing of Aquile is one of the most challenging since the light was shining on the side I was drawing. In order to remove outlines, I had to be particularly creative in how I adjusted the values.
As with the dancer, I decided to omit most of the shirt so as not to draw the viewer's attention away from the face.
Drawing Aquile's hair was also an interesting challenge -- I wanted enough detail to make it clear that they were dreadlocks, but not so much that there would be a strong differentiation in the values of the hair, as it was fairly dark compared to the rest of Aquile's face.
